Zarek is a full-time freelance musician in both solo and ensemble contexts as well as Studio, Composition, Performance and Music Education.
Zarek’s unique playing and adaptability comes from his nontraditional approach to music and guitar. His musical versatility and curiosity has brought Zarek to work in styles of Solo Guitar, Gypsy Jazz, Dixieland, Fingerstyle and traditional Jazz. While Zarek’s musical expression is primarily instrumental his musical dexterity makes the strings sing, giving the guitar its very own voice. \u2028
Beginning his career in Australasia, Zarek is now established in Basel, Switzerland since 2016.

Hello, I hope you are doing well. I started learning guitar on my own; some advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hey! Sorry for my late reply! That’s a great question, and a tough one to answer! I’m also self taught, so I can really appreciate where you are coming from. If I could summarize some key important points: 1) I’d one of the most important things to keep in mind is to keep a regular practice. Evening if it’s not long, make sure you get the guitar in your hands each day. 2) be open to learning all the time and don’t be afraid to try things out of your musical comfort zone. 3) when you practice, turn your phone to flight mode, have a tidy practice space and give your full focus. 4) stay inspired by listening to music and finding musical things that make you happy. 5) develop your ears and rhythm along side the guitar practice, this will make you well round musician. Really hope that helps!!! Keep me posted! 😊

This is great man.. volume is perfect in my opinion. Ima get on this fingerpicking style but maybe with a darker chord progression.. see if they work together:) I see youre already way past your 2000 subs

@@ZarekSilberschmidt any advice on an open tuning that helps get a good dissonant sound out of an accoustic? I know I comes down to the chords you're playing but any come to mind straight away besides the usual open D and C
